Creative agency office space in Oakland should feel like part of the work, not a backdrop to it. Designers, writers, strategists and producers do their best thinking in spaces with good light, room to spread out and a few places to step away and reset. STAK Space in Uptown Oakland pairs lockable private offices with coworking floors, client-ready meeting rooms, event venues and a 39th-floor penthouse lounge, all near the 19th Street BART station. Here is how a flexible campus can support an agency at every stage. Oakland’s arts scene is part of the appeal; see Visit Oakland for inspiration.
What Creative Agency Office Space in Oakland Needs
Agencies switch modes all day: heads-down design, brainstorms, client presentations and quick calls. The right office supports all of them. A lockable private office gives the core team a home for gear and works in progress, while shared tables and lounges give room for bigger sessions. STAK private offices include essential tech and office amenities, and pricing depends on size and membership tier. Compare options on our private offices page.
Client Presentations That Make an Impression
Pitches and creative reviews land better on a big screen in a polished room. Members book conference rooms in the STAK app, with 3 complimentary hours on Basic and 5 on HQ, plus a discount on extra time. For launches and showcases, STAK’s event venues include built-in screens, mics and speakers, and the flagship space features a 23-foot LED screen. Event pricing depends on the room and date, so start with a conversation on our event venues page.
Design Studio Office Space That Flexes With Projects
Agency headcount rises and falls with the client roster. Standard STAK agreements are month-to-month, longer commitments qualify for discounts, and you can change your plan with 30 days’ notice before the next billing cycle. Bring freelancers in on coworking memberships, starting at $299 per month, and add dedicated desks from $100 per month for long-term contractors. When a big account lands, talk to the team about a larger private office. Check current openings on our available offices page.
Spaces to Recharge Creative Energy
Creative work needs breaks that actually refresh. STAK members can head to the 39th-floor penthouse lounge with its chef’s kitchen, cocktail bar and terrace views, and HQ members can use the 6,000+ sq ft fitness center operated by MoveStrong. The campus also features a golf simulator for team outings. Uptown’s galleries, theaters and restaurants are steps away for an afternoon reset. Read about the golf simulator at STAK Space.
A Community of Founders, Makers and Clients
Agencies grow through relationships. STAK regularly hosts networking events, workshops and social gatherings, and the building is full of founders and growing companies that need branding, design and marketing. Sharing a campus with potential clients and collaborators is an advantage a standalone studio cannot match. If you want to feel the energy first, every tour includes a complimentary day pass, so book a tour and work on site for the day.
Setting Up an Agency at STAK Space
Compare STAK membership options to find the right fit. Agencies often combine a few STAK options into one setup:
- A private office as the studio’s home base for gear and active projects.
- Coworking memberships for freelancers who come in on production days.
- Conference room hours for client reviews and creative presentations.
- Event space for launches, portfolio nights and team celebrations.
Because everything sits on one campus, the team can move between quiet work, collaboration and client time without leaving the building. For more on creative production spaces, read about coworking with YouTube and podcast studios.
